Outsource Sharepoint Development

Microsoft SharePoint, also known as Microsoft SharePoint Products and Technologies, is a Content Management System with integrated search functionality developed by Microsoft that allows users to work in a web-based collaborative environment. Microsoft provides certain built-in functionality, and third party developers can also develop custom modifications to extend functionality.

The SharePoint user interface is a web interface accessed through a browser. While all browsers are supported, only Internet Explorer, which Microsoft designates as a "Level 1" browser, is fully integrated and able to utilize the full functionality of a SharePoint Solution.

Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) sits on top of WSS and adds additional features, both to the underlying WSS layer as well as additional ways for the end-user to interact with the repository. The data resides in a SQL Database. Using Webparts it can then present this information to the user using a wide range of different modules and for interaction in different business scenarios.

Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 provides a single, integrated location where employees can efficiently collaborate with team members, find organizational resources, search for experts and corporate information, manage content and workflow, and leverage business insight to make better-informed decisions.

SharePoint products and technologies provide enterprise-scale capabilities to meet business-critical needs such as managing content and business processes, simplifying how people find and share information across boundaries, and enabling better-informed decisions. By using the combined collaboration features of Windows SharePoint Services and Office SharePoint Server 2007 plus the design and customization capabilities of Office SharePoint Designer 2007, organizations can enable employees to create, manage, and build their own SharePoint sites and make these sites discoverable throughout the organization.
